היסטוריה

המושב הוקם בשנת 1950 על ידי עולים מתימן, על חלק מאדמות הכפר הנטוש דיר אבאן. המושב ננטש לאחר מספר שנים, ויושב מחדש מאוחר יותר על ידי עולים ממרוקו ומקוצ'ין שבהודו.

המושב חבר בתנועה המיישבת "הפועל המזרחי".

שם המושב לקוח מתוך ספר ירמיהו, שם הוא משמש שם פרטי:
